Dead Rock Stars Write for LICOS!

By Rudy Kerr

Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Lennon and Hank Williams contacted on psychic hotline!

A source close to LICOS claims that band members--Manny, Ron, Cyle and Scott--used "Heaven's Gateway Psychic Hotline" to contact some late greats of rock 'n roll to help write the songs for their first CD--"Endurable Contact." It started one night after a gig. Band members and friends returned to their hotel. Someone suggested they call a psychic hotline for fun. They put on the speaker phone and called several. They got bored until Manny dialed "Heaven's Gateway." He no sooner started talking then the "psychic" began crooning like Elvis. But what really startled Manny and the others was that this "Elvis" was singing "GONE" -- one of the songs they were working on for their first CD -- "Endurable Contact!"

"What the--?" Manny demanded. "How'd you get our song?" He broke off and looked at Cyle first then Ron and Scott. "OK, which one of you jokers set me up for this prank? Everyone looked at each other, shaking their heads and talking at once. Before Manny could say anything else, the psychic said, "I don't know what's going on. I'm a conduit. I don't know what happens when I go into a trance." Manny laughed, "Yeah, right!" Then he stopped. The psychic was singing again, but this time the voice was high with a definite twang. "Hey, is that Hank Williams singing your latest song, Manny?" Scott gasped.

"The jokes over," Manny laughed. "I gotcha now. I changed the lyrics to the last verse of this song just before we went on stage. It isn't written anywhere but here." He tapped his temple. Manny was grinning and shaking his head as he and the others listened to "Hank Williams" sing the last verse. Suddenly, Manny's face went white. "How'd you know that verse? Who is this?" Manny yelled at the phone psychic.

According to our source, everyone in the room that night became a believer in "Heaven's Gateway Psychic Hotline." The band racked up a 10K phone bill in one month, using these late legends of rock 'n roll to help write songs for what looks like a mega-hit for LICOS.
