Misdiagnosed Indian Sues Federal Government for Millions
Patient 40375, the Arapaho Indian who was misdiagnosed forty years ago as being insane because he couldn't speak English, is suing the federal government, the state of California and the staff doctors for what his lawyers call an egregious abuse of power and assault on his individual rights. Nobody as yet can explain how the Indian got into the veteran's hospital in the first place. With his story making headlines around the world, rumor has it that Mr. Johnny 'If it don't fit you must acquit' Cockran is taking up the case. Rumors also say that the defendant is asking for a half a billion dollars in damages. But no rumors yet about how much Mr. Acquit would want for a cameo appearance on Veteran's. Stay tuned!***
Vicious nurse Harry Ford amost got away with having patient Doug Jenkins lobotomized. In the last the episode, nurse Harry hid Dr. Slaterly's orders cancelling the treatment. Jenkins was able to break free of the restraints and gave one and all guards and staff a merry chase through the hosiptal grounds. Jenkins stayed hidden until news reached Dr. Slaterly who clarified the situation. Only Jenkins was mysteriously shot when he came out of the caretakers lodge. Stay tuned for his condition. ***
Three staff doctors who signed a statement saying that the Gulf War Syndrome was an Iraqi plot to undermine the US Government got relieved of duty officially Thursday. One went to work for the tobacco loby, one is working as an advisor on a film called "Some of Your Best Friends are Aliens," and the third is now director of four L. A. HOMO's. ***
Dr. Beard, who was suspended while the administration looked into the causes of 44 patient deaths since the doctor arrived two years agos, was reinstated by court order. Meanwhile the veteran's administrator Dr. Eager has heard allegation that Beard is an imposter who assumed a dead doctor's ID.***
